Brian Head's Outdoor Adventure Season Opens. Enjoy ATV rides, hiking and over 200 miles of world class downhill mountain biking. Also enjoy daily nature walks & talks at nearby Cedar Breaks National Monument. For more information call 435-677-2035.

Iron Mission State Park Museum, the Iron Mission depicts the history of when early pioneers where sent here to mine iron ore. Also featuring Jay Guymon Wildlife Photography, the Iron Mission State Park Museum hours are 9am to 6pm and it is located at 635 N Main St. in Cedar City. SUU's Ashcroft Observatory, free star-gazing, located on the hilltop just south of the SUU Farm on Westview Drive (Hwy 56 W to Westview Drive). Open at 9pm, interested parties should plan on arriving at the observatory just as the sun sets.

3rd Annual Cedar Breaks National Monument Wildflower Festival: Come join us as a wide variety of high-country wildflowers burst into full bloom. Wildflower specialists and volunteers will be available every day during the festival to provide information beginning at 10am. Festival highlights include guided walks, interpretive fieldtrips, photography workshops, Junior Ranger scavenger hunts, and Zion Canyon Field Institute Classes. Throughout the Festival, the Cedar Breaks visitor center will be hosting an ongoing electronic display of wildflower images as well as discounts on wildflower related books and items. A Fireworks Display will be set off from the Cedar City Airport at Dark. Good vewing locations are Canyon View Middle School and Canyon View High School. Admission is FREE.
